There is no cinematic space-time continuum, rather a constant reconfiguration of spatial and temporal elements on the surface of the film material. Movement and stasis are perceived at the same time in a stream of consciousness. The films of Stan Brakhage create sensuous knowledge that is based on the experientiality of the films triggering a very personal mental image in the viewer.
